Project Description
New Superintendent Daniel Ivey, fresh from Devon & Cornwall, arrives in the Met’s Area South to head up neighbourhood policing. This means Lambeth and Southwark which aren’t an easy gig. He talks about the bedrock of local policing, answers the question of defunding, responds to the pending fortieth anniversary of the Brixton riots, and recalls a shocking but ultimately uplifting story from his time in the West Country.
Recorded on 3 March 2021.
